Rules




    GENERAL RULES

  • NEW RULE! All challenges must be posted in the Challenges forum located at www.boisetot.com/forums.
  • First person to challenge gets option.
  • Challenger gets to choose the game.
  • If person challenged declines, the challenger gets their spot.
  • The person being challenged has three (3) days to acknowledge.
  • Once a match is set it must be played or there must be a forfeit.
  • Matches must be played within seven (7) days of acknowledgement.
  • Matches can take place at any Treasure Valley establishment/location.

    • If a match is held in a residence both the host and player are doing so at their own risk.

  • Maximum of two (2) matches per week.

    • You can play more than two matches per week if you choose, but it is optional.

  • Location of match is to be decided by both players, if a location cannot be agreed upon the challenger must contact Top of the Trees and the match will be played at one of the two following places based on the players locations:

  •     The Pocket in Boise
        The Firehouse in Nampa

  • If you held your spot you can challenge up immediately.
  • NEW RULE! If you lost your spot you must wait 48 hours before you can challenge up.
    • NEW FEATURE! There is now a feature where you can post that you are open for a challenge.
  • NEW RULE! You can move up three (3) spots at a time!
  • You can challenge a specific person within your call out range, or you can call out the entire group ahead of you and the first person to respond gets the match.
  • Match fees to be paid by winner immediately following match via CashApp, Paypal, or Venmo.
  • It is recommended to split the match fee but it could also be part of a wager.
  • Match results must be posted to the original thread on Boisetot.com
  • Payment must be made immediately after the match in one of the following ways:

        CashApp: $BoiseTOT
        PayPal: payments@boisetot.com
        Venmo: @Russell-Zorn
        Cash:

    •     A dropbox is currently available at The Pocket.
    •     Envelopes are currently available at The Firehouse in Nampa, you can leave it with the bartender.
    •     We are also working on other dropbox locations (One will be available at Q's shortly).

  • NEW RULE! Holds:
    • Each player will receive two (2) weeks of hold time.
    • This is similar to vacation where you can take a break and not play and keep your spot.
    • To be placed on a hold please contact Alex, Andy, Jody, or Russ.
    • This is a trial run and if we feel it's being taken advantage of we will re-evaluate it.

    GAMES OPTIONS

  • NEW RULE! Game options are dependent on if you choose to use Salotto.app to submit your match to FargoRate.
    • If you choose to submit to FaroRate via Salotto then the following games are available for play:

      • 8 Ball
      • 9 Ball
      • 10 Ball
      • You can play on 7ft, 8ft, 9ft, or 10ft tables

    • If you choose NOT to submit to FaroRate via Salotto then the following games are available for play:

      • 8 Ball
      • 9 Ball
      • 10 Ball

        Plus the following games!

      • Saratoga
      • Straight Pool
      • One Pocket


  • If players cannot agree on game options, the challenger needs to contact Top of the Trees at which point the following rules will be applied (game selection will also be made if needed):

  • 8 ball

  • No magic rack
  • Winner breaks
  • Rack your own
  • Table is open after the break
  • Ball in hand on ALL fouls (including scratch on the break)
  • 8B on the break is not a win and is spotted or a re-rack, breakers choice
  • Cue ball fouls only

  • 9 ball

  • No magic rack
  • Pushouts allowed
  • Winner breaks
  • Rack your own
  • 9 on the break in bottom two corners is not a win
  • 9 on the break in top four pockets is a win
  • Cue ball fouls only

  • 10 ball

  • No magic rack
  • Pushouts allowed
  • Winner breaks
  • Rack your own
  • 2B and 3B do NOT have to be in the bottom corners of the rack
  • 10 on the break is not a win and is spotted or a re-rack, breaker's choice
  • 10 ball must be the last ball on the table
  • A 10 ball made early (carom, combo, etc.) is spotted and play continues if it was an otherwise legal shot
  • Cue ball fouls only

  • Other game rules (1P, Saratoga, and Straight Pool) are being compiled and will be available soon
